NORTH SHORE DESTRUCTOR
SUCCESSFUL TRIAL HELD The- North Shore rubbish destructor, erected in the Borough of Takapuna, was given an official trial yesterday, 25 cubic yards of rubbish being fed into the furnace. The trial was very successful. The plant has been warm-
ing-up for the last two weeks, and its capacity is ample for the volume of rubbish that it will have to handle. It is proposed to deliver refuse from Devonport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from Takapuna on two days, and from. Northcote on one day a week.
