NEW FOOTPATH
CONSTRUCTION AT DEVONPORT Drivers of motor-vehicles who have to use the Lake Road beyond the gasworks at Devonport will have noticed recently that the Devonport Borough Council has commenced the construction of a footpath alongside the concrete roadway. It has been necessary to win land from the tide to form the pathway for most of the distance; for the balance of the distance a high bank bordering private property restricts the width of roadway and the fotpath is to be cut from it to a depth of sft.
