"Bobstay,” of the Christchurch "Sun,” says: “This little boat, which was designed by Mr. Andrews, is 12ft. 6in. overall, and has a single step. The new boat was given a triaLon the Selwyn River on Saturday, and the performance she put up was very pleasing. The boat is much more stable than the racing machines that have been seen on the estuary, and is of a type which should induce many more people to take up the sport of outboard motor boating. “A feature of the craft is the pleasing way in which she takes off. She does not rear up in the manner typical of these boats, but skims over the water in a clean horizontal position. It is reported that several orders have been placed for the building of boats to this design and Mr. Andrews intends to take her to pieces and use her for patterns,’’
