£SOO DAMAGES AWARDED Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. The case in which Albert Robert lames Bradford, a labourer, sued the City Corporation for £1,164 damages resulting from injuries receded as the result of a tram conductor attemptin a to put him off a tramcar on December 8. concluded to-day in the Supreme Court. Mr McGilivray, tramway traffic manager, said in evidence that, after interviewing plaintiff subsequent to the incident and having seen the doctor’s report, he considered Bradford was entitled to some consideration, and an offer of £ 5 10s was accepted in full settlement. His Honour said it was clear that the conductor had made a mistake, and defendant would have to pay for it. He gave judgment for £ 500 and costs.
