THE GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD, pursuant to the provisions of Section !♦ of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and under authority of a resolution of the Local Government Loans Board sanctioning the loan proposals passed at a meeting on August 1, 1928, hereby gives notice: —, 3.—That it proposes to engage in the following undertaking or public work which it is duly authorised by law to do, viz., the provision of waterworks and water reticulation for supply of water in the Glen Eden Town District. 2. —That the Board being unable to provide funds for such works out of its ordinary revenue proposes to raise a special loan for such purpose. 3. —The sum proposed to be borrowed is £l4,ooo_at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 35s per centum per annum. 4. —That the security for the said loan will be a special rate of 213-32 d in the £ on the rateable (based on the unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Glen Eden Town District. 5. —That the said loan will be repayable at the end of fifteen years with provision for establishing a sinking fund of not less than £1 per cent, per annum calculated on the amount raised. 6-—lt is proposed to pay out of the loaji the preliminary expenses and costs of raising the loan but not the interest and sinking fund for the first vear of the loan.
