COWBOY BAND AND PICTURES The wistful loveliness of Irene Rich has never been seen with quite 80 telling effect as in her latest starring vehicle, “The Silver Slave,” which is now showing at the Tudor • Theatre, Remuera. She plays the part of ayouthful widow, victim of gold-seeking parents, who married her to the highest bidder, while the man she loved was cast aside. She is determined that her wilful daughter shall not make the same mistake, and takes it upon herself to win away the rich undersirables whose wooing has captivated the girl. This she does successfully, not without causing furious anger in the heart of the young woman until the reason i 6 explained. Brilliant and glamorous is this story of modern people. The cast includes Audrey Perris, Holmes Herbert, John Miljan and Carol Nye. “The Patsy,” Marion Davies latest comedy is the second attraction. Fred Mayfield's Cow’boy Band will appear at the Tudor Theatre this evening. This musical combination has been entitled the most unique and the most talented that has ever appeared in New Zealand.
