HIPPODROME

A BIG PROGRAMME A rollicking Irish story, "Irish Hearts,” will be shown at the Hippodrome Theatre again this evening, with May McAvoy and Jason Robards at the head of the strong cast. "Irish Hearts” is a tender story of a little colleen, Patsy, who follows her childhood swetheart to America. On the boat, however, she loses her shamrock brooch and from then on her luck deserts her. Emmett meets her at the dock and announces that, he has lost his job. Patsy is forced to obtain work in a restaurant, where long hours and irksome tasks take all the spirit out of the once-gay little colleen. "Fifty thousand Dollars Reward” is the title of the second feature, a whirlwind melodrama of action, thrills and spectacular stunts. Two well-known and capable stars are seen in this picture in the beautiful actress Esther Ralston and Ken Maynard, mounted on his horse Tarzan.
