HOUSE RANSACKED

THIEVES IN GREY LYNN SUM OF MONEY STOLEN Thieves broke into the residence of Mr. J. Holroyd, 32 Old Mill Road, Grey Lynn, last evening and stole between £3 10s and £4 in cash. It is thought to have been the work of a gang of youths. When Mr. and Mrs. Holroyd returned home at about nine o’clock last evening they found that the house had been ransacked. Furniture had been disturbed and the whole house disarranged. Entrance to the house had been trained by forcing open a window at the pack with a chisel and a monkey wrench. After ransacking the house the intruders opened the back door and walked out. Mr. and Mrs. Holroyd did not leave home until 7 o’clock last evening, and were back again soon after 9.
