FATAL MOTOR SMASH

TWO KILLED IN SYDNEY SYDNEY, Thursday. Two deaths resulted from a motoring accident at Redfern, the principal suburb of Sydney. The victims were Edwin Kell, aged 18, and Robert Edward Gray, aged 25. Three other men were injured, one having an arm severed.

A car containing nine men was returning from a football banquet when it crashed into a telegrcph pole. The police later arrested Hamilton Valda McLerie, the driver of the car, and charged him with feloniously slaying the deceased, and also with driving a car while he was intoxicated. He was remanded.
