£IO,OOO TO REDUCE DEBT British Official Wireless. Reed. Noon. RUGBY, Thursday, A gift of £IO,OOO for reduction of the National Debt has been sent to the Chancellor of the Exchequer by Mr. Oswald Dobell, as a “mark of gratitude to those who voluntarily gave or risked their lives for the Empire.” The Chancellor has expressed the Government’s appreciation of the patriotism inspiring this generous gift.
