NORTHCOTE LABOUR BRANCH
The annual meeting of the Northcote branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was well attended. The report and balance-sheet indicated a very successful year. About £7O had begn raised for worthy objects, including unemployment relief. In connection with the general election it was reported preliminary work had included organisation of committees in practically all centres of the Waitemata electorate. Prospects for the success of the official Labour candidate, Mr. A. G. Osborne, were most encouraging. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. A. G. Osborne; vice-pre-sident. Mr. C. G. Fellows; committee, Messrs. E. H. Steward, W. Rackett, M. S. Davis, G. Gilfoyle and C. Adamson: secretary and Mr. A. T. Morris.
