HEAVY DAMAGES CLAIMED Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, To-day. A legal decision of considerable importance to dairy companies and farmers was given by Mr. Justice Ostler yesterday in the case of C. V. Lonsdale against the Midhirst Dairy Company, in which plaintiff claimed £417 dam ages for the pollution of a stream with factory washings and casein whey. His Honour found for plaintiff, but reserved his decision on the question of damages or of an injunction to enable the parties to come to an amicable arrangement.
