PAPAKURA CLUB Fapakura Lawn Tennis Club has a membership of 63 and a credit balance of £‘47. Mr. W. A. Pavitt presided at the annual meeting last evening. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr. E. D. McLennan, M.P.: president, the chairman-elect of the Papakura Town Board; vice-president, the Rev. W. C. Wood and Messrs. A, R. McLennan, W. A. Pavitt and J. E. Elliott; captain, Mr. J. F. McDonald; secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. Smith; committee, Mesdaines Busing, Drake, J. F. Johnstone and O. W. O’Connell and Messrs. Busing, B. Gleeson, Sutton. McDonald, T. McLennan and I. Eoagey; grounds committee, Messrs. McDonald, Sutton and Perry. It was decided to open the courts on October 13. It was stated that the eomm/.tee would consider the erection of a now pavilion and the laying down of two new courts this season. WAIUKU CLUB The annual meeting of the Waiuku Tennis Club was held on Wednesday, Mr. A*. W. M. Olilson presiding over a fair attendance. The report and balance sheet disclosed that the club had, after expending extra money on improvements, a credit balance on the working. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. A. W. M. Ohlson; vicepresidents. Mr. L. J. Smith and Dr. C. E. llowden: secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. C. Munro: committee. Misses M. Arkle and B. Christianson, Mrs. R. Mclntosh, Messrs. J. A. Naysmith. A. James, Gordon. Arkle and L. J. Smith; auditor. Mr. H. M. Barriball; match committee, Messrs. Ohlson, Smith and Arkle; ground committee, Messrs. B. James. A. Naysmith and G. Arkle. It was decided to hold the official opening day on October 13. OKAIHAU CLUB At the annual meeting of the Okailiau Tennis Club Mr. A. A. Anderson presided over an enthusiastic meeting. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £ 12. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr. F. Reed; president, Mr. A. A. Anderson; vice-president, Mr. W. Struthers; secretary, Mrs. Kay; treasurer, Mr. R. Durney; committee, Messrs. Anderson, Durney, Davies. Horne, C. Wells. R. Thomas and Mesdames Kay. Skelly and Miss B. Mclntosh; club captain, Mr. J. Horne; vicecaptain, Mr. F. Jackson; selectors, Messrs. Anderson and Jackson, with Mrs. Kay.
