Two Men Killed When Iron Meteorite Shoots Down on a Village in India

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Received 10 a.m. DELHI, Thursday. AN iron meteorite, weighing two tons, fell on the village of Kanth, in the Central Provinces, killing two men and injuring a third. The fall was heard 20 miles away. A cavity in the ground over 20 feet deep was caused. This is believed to be the first recorded instance of anyone being killed by a meteorite. The inhabitants of the district regard it as a sign of divine wrath. y
