HOPE’S PETITION

DENIAL OF IDENTITY PARLIAMENT ASKED TO REVIEW CASE (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Having failed finally to prove that he is the victim of mistaken identity in maintenance proceedings initiated in England, John William Hope to-day brought his case to Parliament. His petition was presented by Mr M J. Savage, member for Auckland West! 3-Yope s appeal against his last conviction was dismissed by Mr. Justice Reed in Auckland this week, and he now asks the Government to make a full investigation of his case, with a view to establishing that he is not the defendant mentioned in the maintenance papers.
