EIGHT STOREYS IN HIGH STREET At a cost of £28,000, an eightstoreyed block of shops and offices is to be* erected in High Street, on the property known as Porter’s block, and at present occupied by Cleave’s Buildings*, Limited. Plans have been completed and the work will be carried out by the Fletcher Construction Company, Limited. The site, which was bought last month for £17,000, has a frontage of 50 feet and a depth of SI feet. The building height will be .120 feet, the city building limit, and the structure will be in concrete on the hollow tile principle. The two lower storeys will be finished in Aberdeen granite and the upper portion in ornamental stonework. Two lifts will be provided.
