The Newmarket Borough Council hereby gives notice in pursuance of the provisions of Section 10 of the above-men-tioned Act:— (1) The purpose for which the loan is required is the permanent construction and improvement of Mortimer Pass. (2) That the Newmarket Borough Council being unable to provide the necessary funds for such work out of ordinary revenue, proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £ SOO. (3) That the proposed security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of one-fifth of a penny (l-sd) in the £ on the annual value of all the ratable property in the Borough of Newmarket. * (4) That the Newmarket Borough Council proposes to make such loan repayable within a period of thirty (30) years and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than one and a-half (1£) per centum per annum. (5) That the Newmarket Borough Council proposes to pay out of such loan, such costs, charges and expenses as the Newmarket Borough Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan, but not the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.
