On Tuesday evening the Sisters at the Hospital gave a bright bridge party in their sitting-room at the Nurses Home. Spring flowers made the room look most . attractive. Progressive bridge was played. The prizes for the highest scores were won by Dr. Mocken and Sister Sinclair, and for the lowest score by Hr. Patterson. The guests included:—Mrs. A. Gower, Mrs. Hocken. Mrs. H. Burrell, Hr. Brown, Margaret Douglas, Sinclair, Monaur, Murray, Dawson. * * * AFTERNOON TEA PARTY On Saturday afternoon the committee of the High School Old Girls’ Association entertained the women members of the staff at a very pleasant afternoon tea in the lounge of the Lyceum Club. Mrs. J. Baxter, the president, Mrs. P. Nelson, vicepresident, and Miss R. Burley received the guests. Two amusing competitions were won ter Miss E. White and Miss K. Hogg. «ongs were sung l>y Miss E. T«rley, Miss D. Speight. * * * GUILD MEETING , The annual meeting of St. Paul’s Methodist Ladies’ Social Guild was hold in the church hall in London street, on Thursday afternoon. The report and balance-sheet showed a good year’s work. The officers for the incoming year were elected. President, Mrs. G. A. Bradley (re-elected), vicepresidents, Mesdames Paris, Tidd, J. Jones and Davey; lion, secretary, Mrs. H. D. Cobb (re-elected); hon. treasurer, Mrs. J. Pomeroy (pro. tem.); committee, Mrs. W. B. Williams, Mrs. R. B. Seccombe, Mrs. Watson, Mrs. J. B.
