CAR SOMERSAULTS

MISHAP AT GREENWOOD’S CORNER MAN’S NARROW ESCAPE A motor-car travelling along the Manukau Road on Saturday evening struck another car a glancing blow and then somersaulted 300 yards along the footpath. No one was seriously injured, though the car was damaged. The accident happened at Greenwood’s Corner. Mr. W. Bond, of 19 Liverpool Street, was travelling along the road at an ordinary pace when another car struck his mudguard a glancing blow. The second car then ran on to the footpath and somersaulted. An eye-witness of the accident, Mr. p. Brown, of 676 Manukau Road, nad a narrow escape from being run over by the car which somersaulted. Mr. Bond’s car was not damaged.
