“SOMEHOW GOOD” AT BRITANNIA

‘l3 Washington Square,” a thrilling mystery-drama, will be shown at the Britannia Theatre this evening. The story tells of a society woman "ho, suspecting her son Jack will e lope, waits for him at 13 Washington Square. The picture thief Pyecroft appears, first intending to rob the house. He locks the women up, and then Jack and his fiancee, when they arrive later. Pyecroft helps Mrs. De Peyster to frustrate the marriage, and she permits him to escape after she has been released by her maid. Finally the police arrest Pyecroft as he attempts to leave. Mrs. De Peyster hids them release him, and then gives the children her blessing. Jean Hersholt and Alice Joyce have the leading roles. ‘ Somehow Good,” a fine British picture, starirng Fay Conripton, is the second attraction. Taking a picture these days involves enormous amount of detail. When Australasian Films Company left for * iji for the purpose of 6hooting ‘‘The Adorable Outcast,” the collection of the small details in regard to the e duipment, took up days of time, as everything had to be taken from Sydey. even such things as small car- . on . B . lamps, etc., not being obtainable m Fiji. These details constituted by no means the smallest part of the Producing company’s worries.
