LABOUR CRITICISES PLAN UNEMPLOYMENT OMITTED Reed. 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The Federal Labour leader, Mr. J. H. Scullin, criticising the proposed national insurance scheme, said he regretted the omission from the Bill ©f unemployment insurance, which was most urgent. He added that the proposed legislation merely covered accident and sickness, which were partially provided for already by the old-age and invalid pensions.
