STOLE FOUR COWS
OFFENCE AT TE PUKE SENTENCE DEFERRED Charles West, who had pleaded guilty to the theft of four cows at Te Puke on August 7, appeared in the Supreme Court this morning for sentence. Prisoner appeared a month ago, but at the request of Mr. V. N. Hubble for the Crown, the case was stood down until this morning. Counsel again asked for a remand for a fortnight, as inquiries concerning further charges were not yet complete. Mr. Justice Reed deferred sentence for two weeks.
