Hockey Dance
Technical College Old Girls’ Club MANY GUESTS ENTERTAINED The Technical College Old Girls’ Hockey Club held a particularly enjoyable dance in St. Sepulchre’s Hall on Saturday evening. Green and gold, the club’s colours, provided the theme for the decorative scheme, which was accentuated by green and gold shaded lights. Miss E. Jeffries, the club captain, welcomed the guests on arrival. She wore a dainty frock of hyacinth blue crepe satin and silver bead embroidery. Among those present were: Miss A. Young, in a frock of cherry red ring velvet and frilled georgette. Miss B. Crosby, frock of eu de nil and cyclamen crepe de chine. Miss A. Menzies, apple green frock of satin and georgette. Miss Mitchell, apricot frock of taffeta. Miss Webb, pale lemon crepe de chine frock with violet posy. Miss M. Macklow, nasturtium taffeta frock. Miss Ruth Taylor, silver frock of lame and apple green georgette. Miss .T. Clark, powder blue crepe de chine with uneven hem. Miss M. Harrington, white crepe de chine with scarlet shawl. Miss Crisp, cherry red georgette frock. Miss R. Sparks, peach pink frock of crepe de chine. Miss G. Caley, black satin and gold lace frock. Miss J. James, ivory lace over cornflower blue. Miss Clover, frock of turquoise blue taffeta and silver lace. Miss M. Chappell, rose blush georgette with silver relief. Miss Roberts, frock of larkspur blue and silver lace. Miss E. Goodman, absinthe green frock of taffeta and georgette. Miss Hodgson, apricot frock of satin, with floral relief. Miss E. Inglis, sea foam green taffeta, with silver ribbons. CARD PARTY An enjoyable flag “ five hundred” evening was given on Saturday by Mrs. Hole, at her residence, New North Road, Glenmore. Spring flowers were artistically arranged in the drawingroom. Masses of greenery and arum lilies decorated the reception hall. Mrs. Hole received her guests in a gown of navy embossed chenille, heavily embroidered in gold. Among the players were: Miss D. Hole, aquamarine satin with touches of salmori velvet. Mrs. J. Elmsly, black and white marocain. Mrs. Grant, navy charmeuse with pleated skirt. Mrs. A. Duffin, bronze crepe fleuri with diamante trimming. Mrs. C. Elmsly, larkspur blue and black crepe de chine. Mrs. Barnett, chocolate marocain with biscuit relief. Mrs. Orchard, navy charmeuse embroidered in white. Miss C. Elmsly, delphinium blue ring velvet and silver. Miss A. Tattersall, cyclamen georgette and satin. Miss E. Forde, lilac georgette frock. Miss Lawson, apricot embossed chenille. Miss Symon, flesh-pink crepe fleuri. Miss D. Tattersall, torquoise blue velvet and floral georgette.
