From Calcutta, via Samarang, Penang and Singapore, the Union Company’s charI tered Indian trader Sussex arrived in the | stream at Auckland at half-past 11 on ! Saturday morning with a full cargo of general merchandise and a number of passengers. Generally line weather prevailed on the voyage, but continuous head winds were experienced in the Tasman Sea. Owing to a shortage of coal on board the vessel had to anchor at Rangamumu Bay on Friday morning and transfer 60 tons of coal from the Kaitoke. In consequence the Sussex’s arrivel at Auckland was delayed. Captain J. D. Frew is in command, and ho has associated with him the following officers:—Chief, Mr. C. Burgess; second, Mr. J. VV. Thomson; third, Mr. H. H. Pike; chief engineer, Mr. W. Hall; second, Mr. J. Leich; third, Mr. R. L. Smith; fourth, Mr. W. McLaren; tifth, Mr. S. E. Ross; sixth, Mr. E.
