LUSK WINS AT NAPIER MISS CULLING BEATEN AT MANAWATU Press Association NAPIER, Friday. In the final of the Hawke’s Bay golf championship to-day, H. B. Lusk (Auckland) defated C. S. Geddis (Napier). II up and 10 to play in a 36-hole match. PALMERSTON N., Friday. The Manawatu ladies’ golf championship was won to-day by Miss D. Chrystall (Christcnurch), who beat Miss E. Culling (Auckland) in the final, aftei' a close contest. Mrs. H. Collinson, New Zealand champion, was eliminated in the semi-final by Miss Chrystall. In the final of the Hokowliitu handicap, Mrs. D. J. Thomson, was placed yesterday. The game went to the eighteenth hole, when the players were all square. At the nineteenth Dr. Buckley played the wrong ball, and lost the hole through the technicality. At the time Dr. Buckley’s ball lay in a good position. The semi-final between W. L. Donohue and W. .T. Glanville will he played to-day, after which the winner will meet Thomson for the championship.
