Edmund Goulding, author and playwright, has returned to Hollywood from New York, where he has completed the dramatisation of his book, “Fury,” and has prepared “The Virago” for Florence Reed.
After years of struggle as an extra woman, Margaret Mann, aged 60, has been given a starring role in “Four Sons,” a drama of the “mother” type. The Empire Theatre, Dunedin, which will be opened shortly, is the first of the atmospheric type to be built in New Zealand. It has a seating capacity of over 2,600.
