WILL THE CENSOR RUIN “TALKIES”?
“Vl/'HAT will happen if the censor cuts out portion of a film, thus spoiling the continuity of the dialogue? That’s what is puzzling me regarding the future position of talking films in New Zealand.” This position is asked by Mr. Walter Fuller, a director of FullerHayward Theatres, who has been visiting Auckland during the past week. He suggests that censorship might ruin a talking film completely by eliminating necessary dialogue, whereas ordinary films may be abridged and altered practically at will.
