To-day’s Recipe I DEVONSHIRE PIE 1 COVES the sides of a dish ■ with crust and put at the g bottom a layer of apples m sliced thin, a layer of finely- jj chopped meat (raw or underdone), gj then a layer of sliced onion and jg fill up with apples. Season meat 9 with pepper and salt, put some j| sugar on the apples and a thick g pastry crust over all. Bale in a slot/: oven one hour. Dried apples ■ may be used. j|
