CARD AFTERNOON

A flag “500” given by the members of the Monte-Le-Grand Bowling Club on Thursday evening was a great success. The largest number of flags were won by Mrs. F. McAneny, Mrs. S. Cole and Mr. Winks. Other players were: Mr. and Mrs. Kelly, Mr. and Airs. Bush, Air. and Mrs. Stevenson, Air. and Airs. J. Empen, Air. and Airs. Percy, Air. and Airs. Winks, Air. and Mrs. Nagle, Mr. H. Empen, Airs. Tremain and many others. CARD PARTY FOR BAZAAR FUNDS The residence of Airs. E. E. Elliott, in Alangere Road, Otahuhu, was daintily decorated with spring flowers on Tuesday afternoon, when a very successful and enjoyable progressive 500 afternoon was held. The function was organised by Mrs. Elliott and a committee, and the proceeds are to be devoted to the forthcoming bazaar in aid of the Anglican Church funds. Prizes were won by Airs. Murdoch, Airs., Wood, and Mrs. AlcAnulty, consolation.
