WATER FOR PAPATOETOE

£40,000 LOAN APPROVED (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAPATOETOE, To-day. Official advice has been received by the Papatoetoe Town Board from the Local Bodies’ Loans Board of its approval of a loan of £40,000 for a pumping and water reticulation scheme for the district. The term of the loan is 36£ years. Provision is made for repayment by a 1 per cent, sinking fund, and 5 per cent interest. The long term for repayment, and the light sinking fund, point to the scheme for securing a water supply by pumping having received the most favourable consideration of those experts who have investigated the .proposals on behalf of the Loan Board.
