BOOKING TROUBLE
ATTRACTIONS OF OPERA MANAGER EXPLAINS Letters expressing dissatisfaction with the method of booking grandcircle seats for the operas at St. James Theatre have been received by The Sun. One correspondent stated that in spite of the advertised limit on one person to book no more than 10 seats, a man had booked 59 for “Un Ballo in Maschera.” Another complained that the booking time had been 'altered from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. When these letters were shown to Mr. Ray Fuller, manager of the theatre, to-day, he admitted that the public had been inconvenienced through the unexpected rush of booking. He said that for two days the advertisement setting the limit on booking to 10 seats, had not been published, but now, because of the protests of the public, it had now been decided to revert to the limited booking system, but after eight o’clock any number may be booked. Referring to a complaint that seats had been booked before the plan opened, Mr. Fuller said that these were seat§ for managerial purposes and country orders. “We want to suit the public convenience,” he said, “and there will be no trouble in the future.”
