REMUERA SCHOOL
GROUND IMPROVEMENTS The grounds committee reported to a meeting of the Remuera School Committee that a contract had been let lor ploughing, levelling and regrassing a portion of the playground. The proprietors of the Tudor Theatre, Remuera, have given the Remuera School'permission to give a joint programme in the theatre next Friday evening, and a percentage of the value of the tickets sold will be devoted to the ground improvement fund. It is hoped that the funds will be considerably augmented, enabling the committee to effect further improvements. The Education Board, at the request of the committee, had made certain improvements to the temporary classroom. The efforts of parents, teachers and pupils, with the help of a subsidy from the board, had resulted in a new piano being purchased for the use of the main school.
