RAILWAY CHANGES .
MR. W. HARTLEY PROMOTED STATIONMASTER AT OAMARU This morning Mr. W. Hartley, assistant-station master and chief booking clerk at Auckland, received word of his apypointment on promotion to the position of stationmaster at Oamaru. He will leave Auckland shortly to take up his new position. Mr. Hartley has been stationed at Auckland for some years, and is a most efficient officer. Other promotions announced are as follow: —■ , .. Mr. C. L. Pettit, chief clerk to the divisional superintendent at Auckland,
to the position of chief train control officer at Christchurch. He has been stationed at Auckland for the past three and a-half years. ~ ATi* W H. Cole, chief transport officer at Ohakune, will replace Mr. Pettit at Auckland. Mr. 33. St. George, train-running offlrpv at Christchurch, has been appointed chief clerk in the district traffic manager’s office, Ohakune, in succession to Mr G H Mackley. who was promoted to the bead office.
