“CHICKEN A LA KING” The mirthful, exciting story of an old-time song-and-dance man, his pal, and his daughter, is “Good Time Charley,” now showing at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera. Warner Oland, one of the finest character actors of the generation, gives his most superb performance, and Clyde Cook, master of humour, is at his best. Helene Costello, as the dancing daughter, has an opportunity to act and to dance, and does both with distinction. The second picture is an hilarious comedy entitled “Chicken a la King.” “SECRET HOUR” AT BRITANNIA Pola Xegri is the star in “The Secret Hour,” to be shown at the Britannia Theatre this eveniqg. “If Youth But Knew,” a powerful drama starring Lilian Hall-Davis, will also be shown.
