WOMAN SHOP-LIFTER PAYS COSTS . “She was unlucky enough to be caught the first time,” said ChiefDetective Hammond of a married woman at the Police Court this morning. The woman was charged with the theft of a, packet of glue valued at Is lrom a city store. She was ordered to pay £2 costs, having given Mr. F. IC. Hunt, S.M., an undertaking that she would not err in the future. The woman’s name was suppressed. “It certainly seems to have worried her, ’ said Mr. Hunt, as the woman left the court.
