KOWHAI JUNIOR H.S. NOT TO BE ABOLISHED

MINISTER’S ASSURANCE The Education Department and the Minister of Education have both notified the committee of the KoWhai Junior High School that there is no intention to abolish the school. Tire membership of the committee has now been filled, the personnel being as follows: Messrs. A. A. Buckley (chairman), J. Macdonald (secretary), E. H. Page (treasurer), A. T*. Hartnoil, L. E. Rhodes and .T. May, and Mrs. E. Smythe, Mrs. W. G. Russell and Mrs. A. Brown. At the meeting of the committee held last evening the chairman said the Minister of Education apparently had ideas concerning the extension of the schools as a separate institution if funds were available.
