UNLUCKY SEVENTEEN
ENGLISH CRICKET TEAM GREAT MEN LEFT BEHIND (United Service} LONDON, Wednesday. Tbere is much amusing Speculation as to what would happen if a millionaire sportsman were found to provide a magic carpet for the unlucky 17 great cricketers who will be left behind when the test team sails at the week-end. It is acknowledged that the choice of the lucky 17 has been thoughtful and eminently fair, but it js equally true that no contest in Empire history would excite greater interest than the impossible occurrence of two rival teams battling through the some fixture card in Australia. The unlucky 17, according to unofficial selectors, are Sandham, Woolley, Holmes, S. T. S. Stevens, Rhodes, Hearne, Duleepsinhji, Bowley, O'Connor, Smith, Wyatt. W. B. Franklin. C. Parker, Mercer, Fender, Jupp and Sidney Barnes.
