TARIFF AGREEMENT

EXPORT DUTIES CUT OUT SIXTEEN STATES SIGN (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 10.40 a.m. GENEVA, Wed. The. draft report of the Economic Committee discloses that 16 States have signed an agreement abolishing export duties on hides, skins, and restricting the level of duties on bones. This is the first collective tariff agreement, and was concluded through the committee’s efforts. The committee is next investigating coal and sugar, and subsequently aluminium, timber-pulp for paper, rice, cement, fresh fruits and vegetables.
