INTERFERENCE ON THE AIR

Sir, — In a recent issue of The Sun I came across one of your interesting articles on radio. This one referred to line and machine leakages in Wellington. The interference we have put up with for at least two years has very nearly weaned us from all interest in my fivevalve set. I have tried this set on several aerials away from here, with perfect results. My trouble seems to be trams, wires (which I suppose cannot be helped), and sparking motors. The continual roar of these is absolutely unbearable. In fact, on Monday, the silent night at IYA, we never attempt to use the set. I hope lam not too late in sending you these few lines. No one would be more pleased than I if the trouble could be rectified. OWEN GALLOT.
