PARNELL CRICKET CLUB
At th© annual meeting of the Parnell Cricket Club last evening, Mr. R. B. Lusk presiding, the report showed that the club had had a good year. The financial statement disclosed the club’s assets to be £72, with no liabilities. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. F. Earl, K.C.; president, Mr. R. B. Lusk; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. Pickford, T. Aitken, W. B. Upton, H. Luke, D. R. Macdonald; delegates to Auckland Cricket Association, Messrs. R. B. Lusk, A. G. Aitken, R. W. Bow; club captain, Mr. H. Duncan; deputy-club captain, Mr. A. W. McCoy; management committee, Messrs. A. G. Aitken, C. E. O. Badteley, R. W. Dow, A. J. Luke, L. S. Righton; hon. auditor, Mr. P. R. Fraser; hon. secretary, Mr. W. H. Johnston; assistant-hon. secretary, Mr. R. R. Kissling; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. F. Murray. Messrs. R. B. Lusk and A. Anthony were elected life members. Offers to provide trophies for the coming season were gratefully accepted from the following:—Messrs. W. B. Upton, R. B. Lusk, C. B. Smith, T. Aitken, F. Pickford. ELLERSLIE CLUB The annual meeting of the Ellerslie Cricket Club was held last evening, Mr. O. Slye presiding. The secretary’s report showed that the club had had a successful season. The balance sheet showed a credit of £l, assets £3O and liabilities nil. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P.; president, Mr. J. H. Clayton; vice-presi-dents, same as last year, committee given power to add; chairman of committee, Mr. O. Slye; secretary, Mr. Trevor White; assistant-secretary, J. J. Baxter; treasurer, W. A. Cowan; delegate to Association, A. Stanley; management committee, A. Gedye, B. Miskell, J. Stewart, R. Simpson, W. Funnell and A. Stanley; selection committee, Messrs. A. Gedye, Stanley and Cowan. It was .decided that the club again compete fn the Auckland Suburban Association’s championships. Mr. J. Elliott, president, attended the meeting and spoke interestingly on the new season’s prospects. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. O. Slye for his work as chairman of the committee last season.
