THAMES GIRLS’ CLUB

The monthly meeting of the Thames Girls’ Club took place in the clubroom, Druids’ Hall, on Tuesday afternoon, "and was well attended. Among the visitors were:Mrs. A. D. Campbell (Mayoress of Auckland), Mrs. G. R. Hutchinson and Dr. Buckley Turkington, who gave a short and muchappreciated address on the Mental Defectives Bill. Songs were 'rendered by Mesdames Snowling and Wright, after which afternoon tea was served by the committee. Before the afternoon closed the president announced that the annual meeting would take place on October 17.
