WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION About eight months ago, the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union at Pio Pio, recognising the need in the township of some centre where farmers’ wives could meet in comfort during the course of a day’s shopping, decided to erect a rest-room in a central position. At the last meeting of the executive committee plans of a suitable structure were submitted and approved, and sanction was given for the letting of a contract at a cost of £292. The committee purposes to let the room for meetings, lectures, etc.
