TUDOR, REMUERA
“LA BOHEME” Lillian Gish is seen in one of her best roles in “La Boheme,” which will be shown again this evening at the Tudor Theatre, Hemuera. Miss Gish plays the tragic role of “Mimi,” waif of the Quartier Latin, whose story is known to millions through the famous opera. The play is based on the Henri Murger novel, of which the opera was an episode. John Gilbert is seen as the romantic poet Rodolphe, Mimi’s lover, while Renee Adoree portrays the vivacious ‘‘Musetta,” who, in the opera, sings the “Musetta Waltz.” Others in the cast include Roy L’Arcy, the “crown prince” of “The Merry Widow.” “Something Always Happens,” which is the second feature, is an exciting mystery story of happenings in a haunted house. Esther Ralston plays the role of a girl looking for some kind of adventure and Neil Hamilton the boy who supplies the mystery.
