PLYMOUTH Mr. J. I. H.H., Yic.-FrMjd.Dt in charge of factory mlm reports M f.ll.w.:—“Our judgment that the Plymouth is bound to revolutioniae the American people’s idea* of how fine a low priced car can be built, is findingrapid confirmation everywhere. It is-quite literally—a sensation —the like of which I have never witnessed in nil my experience in the automobile industry. It’s large aise, its comfort, its luxuriouaneaa in appearance and performance, have created instantaneously the finest reception yet accorded a quality-built “Not only the Plymouth but also the Chrysler models “45” and “72“ created a record number of sales in erery state in the Union. Numberless Chrysler owners bought without even a demonstration—the greatest tribute of confidence that can possibly be accorded anything.” In cities and villages the Plymouth exhibits were thronged. Figures for the principal cities are truly startling. New York turned out 1H,••• strong in five days, and placed more than 1,5 M orders two million dollars worth of cars. In four days Chicago added 443 orders and drew 32,444 people, three quarters of a million dollars. Detroit, home of the motor car industry, sent 42,444 to the display and bought another three quarters of a. million dollars worth of Chryslers. Philadelphia's exhibit visitors totalled 51,#44 and 349 cars were sold. So great was the throng that extra police were requisitioned. Staid Bostonians came to the display in such numbers that count was lost. Never wae Boston so enthusiastic over any motor cur. Baltimore reported 339 setes from an attendance of over 3,444. Cleveland's attendance in one day was II.MI, and sales 125. Portland, Oregon, 14,444 and sold nearly IM,4M dollars worth in one day. Pittsburgh reported 215 sales m three days, and San Francisco 214.
