Opotiki.—The Opotiki Golf Club held a men’s Canadian foursome. match on Saturday last. The best scores were returned by Hilford and Bunkall, 77—14, 63. The first round proper of the ladies’ championship resulted as follows: —Miss Forbes defeated Miss T. Holloway, C and 5; Miss Short defeated, Miss L. Wilson, 4 and 3: Mrs.' Birkmyer defeated Mrs. Carroll, 5 and 4; Mrs. Jessop defeated Mrs. O'Sullivan, 5 and 3. The second round was begun yesterday, when Mrs. Birkmyer defeated Miss Short, 3 and 1. EVERSLIE TEAM An inter-club match between Everslie Ladies’ Club and Papakura Ladies’ Club will be played at Everslie on Saturday. The following will represent Everslie: Mrs. R. Lever, Miss J.
