EDENDALE
“DRESSED TO KILL” The silk hat has replaced the peaked cap of the one-time crook, the haunts of the underworld leaders have changed from dark cellars and hide-aways to fashionable hotels and apartments and exclusive night clubs. This is exemplified in “Dressed to Kill,” to be shown this evening at the Edendale Theatre. Edmund Lowe, as “Mile Away Barry,” is the star of the production, a debonair, immaculatelydressed master mind of crookdom, who resembles the gangster of other days only in his utter disregard of the value of human life, whether it be his own or the man he has marked for “a ride.” Ben Bard heads the supporting cast, and Mary Astor plays the leading feminine role. “Slightly Used,” starring May McAvoy and Conrad Nagel, will also be shown.
David Butler has left the Fox Films West Coast studios again, this time to film his now picture, “Prep and Pep.” Butler is on his way to Culver Island, where he will film exteriors for the production. Nancy Drexel and David Rollins will have the featured roles in “Prep and Pep,” and others included in the cast making the journey east are John Darrow, E. H. Calvert and Frank Albertson.
