WELLINGTON, To-day, what is claimed to be a world’s record average price for a line of similar size was obtained for 14 Jerseys sold at auction m Wellington yesterday, on account T. S. Cooper, U.S.A. The best price lor females was 650gns paid by J. A. Mitchell, of Longburn, for the beautiful three-year-old cow Volunteer s April Lady. The same breeder bought the seven-year-old cow Masterman s Golden Marie, at 575gns. Both thes<* cows have recently calved. F.
