TARANAKI LEAVES COLON.—A cable message to the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company reports that the .Taranaki left Colon on Wednesday afternoon for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, en route from Auckland. The vessel left Auckland on August 16. H.M.S. DUNEDIN IN PORT. —An arrival at Auckland yesterday afternoon was H.M.S. Dunedin (Commodore G. T. C. p. Swabey), which has returned after a two-months’ cruise in the Pacific. From Auckland the cruiser went to Fiji and then to Honolulu, where she represented New Zealand at the Captain Cook celebrations. She visited a number of islands on her return voyage to Auckland. She will be dry docked shortly to refit before she proceeds to Wellington at the end of October.. BARON INCH CAPE.—Cabled advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Baron Inchcape left Newport News on September 3, in continuation of her voyage from Sydney (C. 8.). and Montreal to New Zealand ports. The vessel is due at Auckland about October 8. WAIPAHI DUE THIS AFTERNOON. —Due in the stream at Auckland at two o’clock this afternoon from the Cook Islands, the Union Company's Island fruit steamer Waipahi berths later at the Prince’s Wharf. On Thursday she leaves here for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Aitu, Mauke, and Mangaia, to load again for this port. CARGO FROM EAST. CANADA.—According to a cable message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company the Wirral is fixed to load at Sydney (C-B.) and Montreal, sailing from the latter port on September 30 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The ship left Newcastle-on-Tyne on Wednesday for Sydney (C. 8.). GALLIC FURTHER DELAYED.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Gallic was to leave the Wanganui roadstead last night for Wellington, where she is due this morning. The vessel will not leave Wellington tomorrow for Napier, Waikokopu and Auckland. The Gallic is expected to sail finally from Auckland on September 25 for Ci'istobal, New York, Boston, Halifax, and West Coast ports of Great Britain. L. D. Nathan and Company will act as the local agents. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY.—Shortly after six o’clock this morning the Union Company’s passenger steamer Marama arrived in the stream at Auckland from Svdney and later berthed at the Queen’s Wharf. The vessel left the New South Wales port last Friday afternoon and experienced fair weather for the run across the Tasman Sea. AORANGI SAILED.—After unloading cargo and mail from Vancouver and embarking passengers for Australia, the Royal Mail liner Aorangi sailed for Sydney last evening. The vessel is due at Sydney on Thursday afternoon, and is to sail on her return voyage to Vancouver via Auckland on September 20. MAKURA FOR SAN FRANCISCO.—In continuation of her voyage from Sydney, the Union Company advises that the R.M.S. Makura leaves Wellington at 3 o’clock this afternoon for Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. REMUERA SAILS FRIDAY.—Now completing h'er loading at Auckland, the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Remuera leaves here at noon on Friday, September 14, for Southampton and London, via Panama. CANADIAN TRANSPORTER SAILING.—To complete the discharge of her Montreal cargo, the Canadian National Steamships steamer Canadian Transporter is to be 'dispatched from Auckland at 5 o'clock this evening for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. CARGO FROM THE EAST.-The Union Lompanj advises the following movements of steamers bringing cargo from the Straits Settlements: The Hatkhola is expected to leave Svd£f y „. on Satui 'day next for Auckland and Wellington and is due here on September The Sussex will not now call at Brisbane and is expected to reach Auckland on Friday states a radio message received. From here the vessel proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff to complete her discharge. PORT NAPIER ARRIVES.—The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Napier, which had to put into Pago Pago recently with a fire on board, ar-' rived in the stream at Auckland this morning, and went straight alongside King’s Wharf to put out the local portion of her cargo. The Port Napier sailed from London on July 20 last, and exprienced fine weather and an uneventful voyage till a fire was discovered on board, when the vessel was some 1,000 miles from Pago Pago. The captain then decided to make for Hiat port, where the fire was speedily stamped out She arrived at Colon on August 5, and at Pago Pago on August 25, and then called at Suva last week en route to Auckland. Captain S. A. E. Gregory is in command of the Port Napier, which brought the following passengers for New Zealand: Viola Harrison, Laura Harrison, Mary Harrison, Adele Harrison, Richard Hilliard, Ellen Hilliard, "William William r son, Bede Williamson, Geoffrey Gunson, Mary Jones, Hugh Jones. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., are the local agents. The Port Napier completes the discharge of her cargo at Dunedin and Bluff.

Chatham Islands: Ruapehu, Devon. Wellington: Maori, Wahine, Ngaio, Arahura, Tamahine, Port Dunedin, Niagara, Karetu* Gallic, Pakeha, Port Bowen, Spinanger, Makura, Comlie Bank, Manuka. Awarua: Maunganui, Waikouaiti, Kaitangata, Trevorian, Pa’-racombe, Coptic. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURE YESTERDAY RARAWA (4.10 p.m.), 1,077 tons. Bark, for New Plymouth. The Rarawa, which left Onehunga yesterday afternoon for New Plymouth, is expected to arrive back again at halfpast seven to-morrow morning. The Arapawa is due at Onehunga at 3 o’clock this afternoon from Raglan, Kawhia and Port Waikato. She sails again at 3 o’clock to-morrow afternoon for Wanganui. The Hauturu is due at Onehunga early to-morrow morning from Hokianga. She is scheduled to sail again at 4 p.m. the same day for Raglan, Kawhia and Port Waikato.
