WHANGAREI HOSPITAL

KAMO AND HIKURANGI MEMBERS FOR BOARD (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Monday. A letter received by the Whangarei Hospital Board to-day from Dr. T. H. Valintine, Director-General of Health, advised that an Order-in-Council had gone forward for signature, apportioning a representative of the Hikurangi and Kamo Town Districts to the board. A telegram had been sent to the Hikurangi town clerk informing him, to advertise for nominations for the position. On the motion of Mr. T. Ellis, chairman, the hoard decided to award a gold medal to Nurse McDonald, who had gained top place in New Zealand in the recent midwifery examinations. Nurse McDonald is the fourth nurse from Whangarei to secure this honour.
