ABSENT HUSBANDS

COURT ORDERS RETURN On the petition of Betson Margaret Chalmers (Mr. Stevens), David George Chalmers was ordered to return home within 14 days by Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court this morning. Petitioner said she was married in Oamaru in December, 1909. The two lived there for some time and went to Hokitika, then came to Auckland, where the^ - had lived for 10 years. Generally speaking their married life was happy. On April 10 last the husband left home and had refused to return. Another wife who wanted her husband back was Kathleen Louisa Dickeson (Mr. Tong), who petitioned for return of Thurston Wyatt Dickeson. The marriage took place in October, 19115, and the two lived at Kaikohe. The husband left home last May and declined to return. He was ordered to do so within 14 days.
